How to spot the problem

The signs to identify

Live cockroaches at night

Cockroaches are nocturnal. If you see them in daytime, the population is already significant.

Black droppings

Small black grains (1–2 mm) in cupboards, behind the sink, on skirting boards, behind appliances.

Rancid smell

Characteristic sweet-rancid odour in kitchens and bathrooms when the infestation is established.

Oothecae (egg capsules)

Small brown capsules, 5–8 mm, containing 20–40 eggs. Glued into corners, under furniture, behind skirting boards.
